Machine Learning Engineer (m/f/d)

Your job's key responsibilities are:

• Designing and implementing machine learning models, solutions, and pipelines to address business challenges and opportunities
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, providing technical expertise, and delivering scalable and robust solutions
• Conducting research and evaluation of emerging machine learning techniques
• Working independently on Proof of Concepts (PoC) to validate and showcase the feasibility of proposed solutions
• Conducting direct client communication to understand their needs and tailor machine learning solutions accordingly

Essential Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in core machine learning work in the industry
• Extensive knowledge of Cloud AI offerings on one of the Hyperscalers (GCP, AWS or Azure) , including ready to use AI services, AutoML approaches, and custom model development
• Proficiency in Generative AI/LLMs , with expertise in prompt engineering, embeddings, LangChain, vector databases, grounding, and other relevant concepts
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on PoCs
• Strong and assertive communication skills
• Proven experience in research and evaluation of machine learning technologies

Beneficial Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of Cloud (Gen)AI offerings on GCP
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes
• A/B testing expertise
• Experience with implementing robust strategies for monitoring and maintaining machine learning models in a production environment
• Passion for keeping up with industry trends and advancements in machine learning

The actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience. What is also important to us is to pay our employees an internally comparable salary. For legal reasons, we need to disclose the minimum annual salary for full time employment as stated in the current collective IT agreement, which is € 52.136 gross/year for this position.
