Part of that is down to the numerous parks, woodlands and outlying hills, perfect for families.Your New Role As Senior Layout Engineer, you will be a key player in the execution of projects crucial to decarbonization of Vienna by 2040, such as: Modernisation of existing energy production facilities (e.g. upgrading a waste incineration plant on the basis of the circular economy) Construction of new alternative energy generation plants (e.g. biomass, wind farm, geothermal etc) Hydrogen production or application (e.g. construction of hydrogen production facilities) Combined generation plants for heating and cooling energy as well as electricity (e.g. either construction or modernisation of existing plant for combined generation of electricity, heating and cooling energy such as natural gas and renewable energy sources) Waste generation and management (e.g. construction of recycling plants, plants for the treatment of sewage sludge and phosphorus recovery). Your responsibilities will include: Develop efficient layouts for power generation structures in alternative energy plants and optimize spatial arrangements to enhance operational efficiency.Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate green energy technologies into layout designs ensuring seamless incorporation of innovative solutions.Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and compliance in layout execution.Oversee construction phases to ensure adherence to design specifications.Lead collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams for effective project execution.Your New Team: You and your team will benefit from promotion of a Scandinavian inspired working culture in a new Austrian joint venture with a high degree of flexibility and an informal and dynamic working environment. About You: For this role, it would be beneficial to have the following qualifications and experience: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.Extensive experience in piping design and layout within the energy sector, e.g. power plants, Power-to-X, CCUS, Hydrogen, smart gridsExhibit familiarity with 3D design tools (CAD), with a preference for hands-on experience.Possess solid knowledge of piping design codes and industry standards.Showcase strong project management skills and effective teamwork ability.Fluent English language essential; German language preferredJoin an empowered and pioneering team – join us and take a unique opportunity to help shape the future of the world’s most liveable city.
