The Senior Data Scientistwill be responsible for applying statistical methods to analyze the data produced by Endeavor Digital’s software products, by our marketing campaigns, and by our online experiments. This role will define metrics to understand historical performance as well as build predictive models to forecast future performance and model user behavior. Typical problem areas will be market and opportunity sizing, A/B testing, user engagement, retention, and monetization, metrics definition, implementation and productionization, and data enrichment and organization. Who You Are You have at least 2-3 years of experience working at a company where the primary product is a digital experience, such as an eCommerce marketplace, mobile streaming app, social networking app, or IOT experienceYou have 2+ years of experience working in an environment where your primary partners are product managers, product designers, data engineers, software and ML engineers, and marketing professionals You have 4+ years of experience in the field of analytics or data science with some examples of cases where you served as technical lead or architect of a large cross functional projectYou have a master’s degree or higher in a STEM discipline, ideally computer science, statistics, economics, neuroscience, mathematics, or physicsYou have a command of various programming languages to collect and manipulate data such as SQL, R, Python, and Scala. You have experience working with cloud-based data processing, storage, orchestration, and visualization tools including but not limited to GCP, AWS, Azure, Snowflake etc. You enjoy telling stories with data by utilizing standard data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Microsoft Power BI, Observable, Plotly Dash etc. You have experience building and designing statistical models with large data sets for forecasting, user propensity, LTV, user engagement, online experimentsYou have experience partnering with machine learning engineers to change the customer experience in a production software environment You are comfortable conducting, analyzing, and communicating research You have demonstrated experience translating insights into business recommendations Though most of us call NYC home, you can work from anywhere in the United States What you’ll do Systematically validate assumptions and quickly identify appropriate solution methods (statistical, ML, and experimentation) for an analysis problemBuild end to end data applications from raw data to models or reporting systems to enable the digital team to self-serve their analytical needsConduct market research using publicly available datasets and industry reports to influence the strategic direction of Endeavor Digital’s productsDraft design docs before implementing large scale projects with an eye towards scalability, usability, and cost Publish the output of your work via internal channels and summarize your insights tailored to a wide array of internal audiencesAccurately estimate and correctly scope the effort and resources necessary to execute data science projectsBe a thought leader and partner to your cross functional stakeholders as well as to your leadership team:$58,500 annually
