Lab Operation Support for Upstream Process Development (M/W/N)

Job DescriptionFor one of our teams based in Vienna we are currently looking to hire a Lab Operations Support with a focus on activities in upstream process development. Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Execute routine upstream unit operations such as cell culture, microbial fermentation small to medium scale. Ability to follow laboratory instructions and meet regulatory and quality compliance requirements.Maintain accurate laboratory notebook, batch records, data sheets, and prepare documents (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and reports in English & GermanMaintains organization of work area including but not limited to inventory of regularly used items, daily preparation, and clean-up.Hands-on during the calibration and cleaning of equipment and steam in place.Understanding of R&D work environment.Required to start working early in the morning (around 7am) including weekend work 4/5 hours per month to support business needs.Ensure and promote safe environmental and laboratory practices.QualificationsFor this interesting opportunity we are looking for somebody withBachelor / master’s degree in molecular biology or pharmaceutical science or biochemistry/ food chemistry, analytical science.Previous academic or industrial research experience desirable.Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office required, advanced proficiency in Excel preferred.Fluency German and English, written and spoken is needed.Familiar with fermentation, cell expansion and harvesting, scale-up, purification techniques.Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.The ideal candidate is open minded and interested in a challenging position involved in driving collaboration between (international) sites, standardization of work and improved analytical testing strategies.
