Sustainability Manager - Procurement

Company Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team with a strong focus on sustainability and achieving net-zero targets with our global suppliers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our supply chain activities towards an ambitious net-zero goal. Job Description Reducing Supplier Carbon Footprint In this role you’ll assess suppliers' sustainability practices and carbon emissions to reduce our overall supply chain carbon footprint vs. net zero. Identifying sustainability assessment tools Another part of your job will be to develop and implement sustainability assessment tools to evaluate and follow up on suppliers' sustainability performance. Collaboration and negotiating contract terms As a member of our team you’ll collaborate with the supplier responsible Category Managers, as well as other departments to integrate sustainability and net-zero objectives into their practices so to support net-zero raw procurement. You’ll also push the supplier selection process and define and implement contract terms with suppliers to ensure they adhere to our net-zero objectives. Effectiveness and sustainability trends Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of the sustainability procurement strategy will be part of your responsibility as well as to engage in continuous learning to stay up to date with the latest sustainability trends and practices in procurement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Food technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related. 7-10 years of professional experience in the field of Supply Chain or related area Excellent communication and project management skills Analytical mindset Fluent in English, German is a plus Team player, self-motivated, goal-oriented, flexible, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Additional Information Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 2.525,00 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
