This includes the only Lyme disease vaccine candidate in advanced clinical development, which is partnered with Pfizer, as well as vaccine candidates against the Zika virus and other global public health threats.As Digital Systems Architect you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing our IT infrastructure landscape that meets business needs. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including business leaders, developers, project teams and IT teams to create efficient and effective systems architecture.ResponsibilitiesAs the Business Partner for Finance, you will act as the liaison between the Finance department and the IT organization. You will collaborate closely with Finance stakeholders to understand their business needs, translate them into IT requirements, play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation initiatives within the Finance function and ensure that technology solutions align with the strategic objectives of the Finance function: Understand the business goals, challenges and opportunities within the Finance department Identify opportunities to leverage digital technologies, automation and data analytics to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency Engage with Finance stakeholders to elicit, analyze and prioritize business requirements Ensure SOX compliance of all financial and finance related software projects Ensure adherence to SLC best practices Translate business needs into actionable IT requirements and solutions Work with IT teams to design, develop and implement technology solutions that meet Finance's needs Research and evaluate digital tools, platforms and solutions relevant to Finance, such as financial management software, predictive analytics, planning and consolidation Provide guidance and support in the selection and customization of software applications, tools and systems Build and maintain strong relationships with Finance stakeholders, including CFO, Finance Managers, IT and the architects Serve as a trusted advisor to Finance leaders, offering insights and recommendations on technology trends and best practices Lead or participate in the implementation of digital solutions within the Finance function, ensuring successful deployment, adoption, and integration with existing systems Work with IT teams to design, develop, and implement technology solutions that meet Finance's needs Support change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes within the Finance department Provide training and guidance to Finance users on new systems and tools RequirementsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree or certifications (, MBA, PMP, ITIL) are a plus Proven experience (3-5 years) as an IT Business Partner or similar role, preferably within the Finance domain Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements Strong understanding of SOX related processes, controls and the underlying ITCGs Familiarity with digital technologies and tools relevant to Finance, such as ERP systems (Dynamics 365), financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software, data visualization tools, and RPA platforms Proficiency in business analysis techniques, including requirements gathering, process modeling, and solution design Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels Solid project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex IT projects Knowledge of enterprise systems (, ERP, CRM), business intelligence tools, and emerging technologies relevant to Finance Ability to think strategically, identify opportunities for innovation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to manage and develop strong working relationships with other departments and outside vendors Strong cross functional understanding within the pharmaceutical industry Proven facilitation and problem-solving skills even in remote work Proven ability to management multiple projects and vendors in a multinational organization Act autonomously and voluntarily (self-starter) Benefits Open, appreciative company culture with innovative spirit and attractive assignments International surrounding with flat hierarchies Good team spirit in a strong and highly motivated team Wide range of benefits like flexitime, compensation days, performance-related bonus, lunch vouchers, child care center (“Kindergarten”), company events, myClubs, etc. Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € ,- gross per year based on full-time employment.
