This position is responsible for review and validation of documentation of completed work to repair disaster damaged public infrastructure, and of efforts taken to prevent damages from a disaster. The documentation may consist of Damage Descriptions and Dimensions (DDD), Scopes of Work, Cost Estimates, utilized force account labor and equipment, and contracted services. The documentation is validated against FEMA’s policies and eligibility requirements for reimbursement of costs. Incomplete documentation, inconsistencies, and missing data need to be documented and summarized in a request for information. All work products must be documented in an understandable manner and be defendable. All work is conducted within a web-based document and grant management system.This position description incorporates the core responsibilities of the job. The position would be an on-call hourly or temporary full-time role and working remotely. This role will work closely with the Project Manager(s) and could be deployment to a disaster field office (post pandemic) may be required.Position Details Reports to: Cadre Manager (Project Manager) Location: Remote (home or field office)Position Type: On-CallFLSA Status: Non-ExemptPay: HourlyCompensation: Commensurate with experienceTravel: Limited travel and on-site deploymentsEssential Job Functions Work with state and local governments to finalize costs to repair damages to public infrastructure from a declared disasterReview documentation of completed efforts against policies and regulations for funding eligibilityUtilize spreadsheets and other data management tools to organize and analyze the data submittedIdentify inconsistencies, and missing data in the documentationSummarize results of review and analysis in a concise and detailed reportManage entire process in web-based document and grant management systemMinimum Job Requirements Undergraduate degree with 5+ years of professional experience relative to data analysis and validationProficient in using all Microsoft Office productsHighly proficient in using MS Excel and other data management toolsExperience with FEMA’s Public Assistance ProgramAble to manage multiple projects and resources remotelyAble to communicate (oral and written) clearly and effectivelyExcellent customer service skillsAble to obtain a Public Trust clearance which includes a moderate background investigation with fingerprint and credit checks or current FEMA badgeWork Schedule Deployment to a disaster field office may be required.Job Description Disclaimer This position description incorporates the core responsibilities of the job.
