As a vehicleControl Software Senior Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing,developing, and maintaining the software systems that control the operation of SiemensPush/Pull trains. Your expertise will contribute to the safety, efficiency, andreliability of train transportation systems. Siemens Passenger Coaches aremanufactured in Vienna and other Siemens locations, and they transport peopleacross Europe in day and night trains such as the Railjet for Austrian andCzech railway operators.Inthis role, you can actively design the future of sustainable high-speedcross-border train service in Europe. We transform the everyday! TasksYouwill collaborate in a team of software developers. The different train-functionalitiesto be developed are clustered and handed over in the responsibility of onespecific developer.Youwill be managed by the lead engineer, who is in charge of the train control software.Youare responsible for your function cluster, particularly:Definitionof the software requirements based on the system requirements.Clarificationof the software interfaces together with control unit lead engineer.Implementationof the functionalities in the train control software.You derivetest specifications to carry out so called Engineering-developer tests for yourfunction cluster eighter in the laboratory or directly on the train.Yousupport the validation test engineers in the preparation of the finalvalidation test in order to achieve homologation certification.SkillsBachelor'sor Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related mechanicalor electrical field.Provenexperience in real-time software development, preferably in the transportationor rail industry.Ideallyfamiliar with safety-critical software development and concerning standards).Strongproblem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellentcommunication and collaboration skills.Aspart of your job, you will also be required to travel to other European Siemenslocations and rail-vehicle test facilities in the Czech Republic and GermanyWe offer an attractive remunerationpackage in line with your qualifications and professional experience. The legallyrequired minimum gross annual salary according to the collective agreement forthis position is at least EUR 76.000,- (All in contract).
