To strengthen our Medical team in Vienna, Austria, we are currently hiring aMedical Science Liaison (m/f/x)(Fulltime / permanent / Location: Vienna)The OpportunityYou, in concert with Medical Affairs Manager of the given therapeutic area, will engage and build strong links with key external medical experts in Austria. You are responsible for the implementation and management of medical affairs projects including medical investigations and assessment of trials. You are expected to closely work with other departments and external stakeholders in the field.You manage and support local studies, contribute to generate product–related scientific data through developing and maintaining an in-depth understanding of the therapy area. You provide support to external experts and collaboration with internal stakeholders to maintain a high level of scientific partnership.The RoleDevelop, implement, measure medical affairs projects/trials for existing and new products in AustriaMonitor and evaluate changes in the medical and scientific environment (clinical studies, therapeutic trends, etc), responds appropriately and derives actions and business proposals.Establish annual medical affairs budgets for responsible brands and monitor periodic financial medical affairs forecasts as requiredDevelop, implement and supervise company-sponsored non-interventional studies in alignment with legal and compliance requirements and internal SOPs/Policies; manages publication of study results.Manage investigator-initiated studies in alignment with legal and compliance requirements (AMG, GCP) and internal SOPs/policies (especially the ClinCom process), supervise and analyze results medically (together with investigator).Manage publication of results in full accordance with Good Publication Practice.Cooperates with relevant internal partners (sales, marketing, PR, Health policy, R&D, Production, Regulatory Affairs, Legal Department, Quality, GCSP, etc) in order to get the necessary support for the success of the medical affairs activities.Develop and maintain contacts with opinion leaders, customers, research institutions, patient organizations, etc.Actively participate in the preparation of scientific, promotional and educational events in Austria and provides medical expertise needed for preparing these events. Acts as CSLB main presenter during internal trainings of Sales and Marketing organization within Austria or external events organized by CSL Behring with participation of health care providers. Is involved in establishing and maintaining business relationship with international and national KOLs, with key HC administrative bodies, public health organizations, and deals with all medical aspects of these interactions. (cross functional collaboration)Your Skills and Experience:Degree in a relevant scientific discipline such as pharmacology, pharmacy, immunology, biosciences, public health or epidemiology. A degree in Medicine considered as preferential title.PhD in a relevant scientific field would be highly desirable.At least 4 years of appropriate experience with demonstrated relevant competencies required to qualify for this role.Minimum of 4 years in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry required.Prior experience in providing Medical support to products or devices in specific therapeutic areas, including KOL development, investigator-initiated clinical trials, publications and educational programs highly preferred.Experience in working in international or global teamsStrong scientific backgroundFluency in German and in English is requiredWillingness to travel on businessICH/GCP knowledge favorable, ability to write scientific papersGood planning and organisational skillsReporting Relationship:Role that this position reports to: Head of Medical Affairs AustriaWhat we offerOur benefit plan offers our employees numerous choices including such options as life insurance and retirement plan We are looking forward to your application.
